Time to ponder!
I was wondering on this topic and I suddenly thought I should write it down here. Well, many companies have just recruited so many students from our college. The salary package or the CTC varies from around Rs.2.5 to 7.0 lacs per annum. In USD, it’s about 6,200 USD to around 17,500 USD per annum. But if we consider the exact figure that each fresh engineer will be getting after those many deductions, it’s about Rs.20,000 per month. That is about $500 per month.
That’s the figure, a fresh engineer here will be getting when they go out of the college and work with the companies for about 7 to 8 hours a day. But the irony is that even a blogger at payperpost earns over $2000 per month, working just about 3 hours a day. And we see the internet scenario; you will find that you can easily earn $500 by working just one hour a day, that too at your discretion. I know this for sure because I myself earn over $1000 a month from blogging alone, working around 2 hours each day in my free time.
The thing that makes me ponder is that when I told few of my US friends about the packages offered to us, they were quite shocked. But anyway, we are cheap workforce and that’s why these MNCs come here and hire us. Until and unless we find our way to move out of this vicious circle, I wonder we will remain like this!
