There is lot of money in the internet and there are so many ways to grab them. And mind you, some of these ways are so easy that you won’t even believe when you have done it yourself. Some ways are decent, some are black hat, but if you ask me what you should take up, I will always suggest the decent route. You can become a freelancer or a blogger to earn some 4 figure income in dollars per month. That’s easy and I sure you can do that in a matter of 3 or 4 months if you are serious and ready to learn. But when you start thinking beyond that, things seem to become a bit more complex.

I started out with affiliate marketing recently. To be more precise I am in the CPA line. It’s about a week now and I am still caught up with so many new problems and it’s hard trying to figure out what really works, especially when you have no one to guide you step by step. I have been scrapping all through the internet, working whole night till 7 am in the morning just to find out a few clues on how things are working fine for other marketers. It’s not that easy for a solo beginner like me but there is one thing I still believe, it easy to earn big time from this route. And just for a hint, I discovered something yesterday night, which I hope will be my first clue to wealth.

Ok, I have been blogging for a while and now I am shifting to internet marketing. But before I take you along, here is recap of how I started on the internet. Well, I have always thought there are possibilities in the internet since I started knowing about it. But I could hardly find a connection those days. It was when I was in 10th standard when I first got my hand on an internet connected PC, in a cyber cafe. Well, I spent about 6 hours learning how to search in the internet and open a Yahoo email account. Though I learnt nothing that day, that’s was the start. I remained wondering what’s there in it that was so fun.

Late in July 2006, I had my first private connection and it all started when I landed on a website called DigitalPoint. Well, the starting part was funny. I registered in the digital point forum just to say hi to a nice girl. She was from UK and I never saw her online since then. But I found a new place to chat with people and have some fun time when I was bored. After about a month, I realized what’s there in the internet and how easy making money was. The day I realize this was on 28 Sept 2006 when I got my first dollar for helping someone create a logo for his new website. That was just $2 but I was so excited that I kept telling my friends that day!

Then slowly I started learning new things, helping people on their website and trying to start my own service. Today I have one of the most reputed profile in the DigitalPoint forum. There are very few members who became full with reputation in just a few months. I am glad that I was one of this few. In the course of this few months, I have learnt a lot, but there are still so many things that I need to learn to achieve what I am thinking. I have taken up many new tasks and I am a busy boy now in the college. But I know, somewhere there is something big in store for me soon…

I just started using Adwords with a starter edition. I set up a campaign and add some keyword into it and made my ads active by filling in the billing information. I thought it would be all and I will start seeing the results within 3 hours. But it seems like it is not so. The report that is displayed in my account panel is showing no impression and no clicks and I am still wondering where it went wrong.

Well, I am constantly trying to fix this problem. I thought maybe I have chosen some very competitive keywords and my bids are too low to show up my ads. So, what I did was change the ads and started new ads for the same product. But that doesn’t seem like the perfect solution. I think I need to change the keywords by upgrading my account to standard edition. And that of course I am going to do soon enough. Let’s hope everything will be working fine soon.

I just read in DigitalPoint Forum that Google is going to change PageRank into WebRank with a new ranking algorithm in effect soon after the ongoing Google backlinks update. According to the OP, Google is going to adopt a completely new algorithm to rank websites according to three important variables – content, links to the site and Relevance of incoming links.

Well, I did search for a more official update from the big G but I couldn’t find any. For those really interested in this news would sure love to read a post in the same thread by The Webmaster. Anyway, whatever the real deal is, I hope the new PR update is sure going to have some new rules incorporated. But whether or not these new rules will affect the PR of different sites, only the real PR update will tell.
