There has been no single day without spam. I get spam everyday, whether it be in my email box or in the form of blog comments or in my forums. But I have been getting a lot of spam sms lately from Airtel. I get atleast 3-4 sms everyday from them These sms can be anything ranging from a sms joke for Rs.6 or a ringtone download for Rs.15 or anything that you can think about.

Well, one or two promotional sms a week is ok, but it becomes weird if you start getting same “Download Ringtone” sms twice every other day. The worst part is that we don’t have any spam folder in our cellphones where we can set preferences like ‘delete message after 3 days’. I have to delete them right away, as soon as I receive any of these messages, even without bothering to open them up and see what they actually are.

Anyway, I hope a giant carrier like Airtel will stop sending out spam sms to their subscribers soon as it is getting quite weird having to delete many useless message everyday.
