More budget laptops this year!
Last year, when I bought my laptop, there were not many people in our college hostel who were having a laptop. More people were going for desktops and for a fact; some of these desktops are of top end configuration available at the time. But this year, we see many laptops around inside the hostel. In fact, the ratio of laptops to desktops has been increasing at a super fast rate and I hope this is due to many budget laptops recently released in the Indian Market.
Well, one of the brands which most people are relying on for budget laptops in our college is Acer. Mine was also a budget laptop when I bought it last year. But the configuration I got at that time was horrible. Just 256 MB RAM, 40 GB Hard Drive with a DVD Combo Drive, plus the normal laptop stuff like 802.11 b/g wireless connectivity, etc. But today, when I checked for Acer laptops, I get a damn nice configuration for the same price I bought mine. It’s like 1 GB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive, DVD Writer with Dual Layer support, 128 MB of Graphics memory, integrated web camera, and what not!
There are also many other budget laptop brands coming up these days. Lenovo and Campaq budget laptops are also a very good example of quality budget laptops that hit the market recently. So, it’s your choice now, whether you want to get a high end desktop or a good budget laptop. The price tag is no more a factor for your decision anyway!
