MANIT Official Website
I just keyed in the manit.ac.in into my browser and I was like WOW ! Our MANIT Website is updated now, giving it a completely new look. I don’t know who are incharge of the design and development of our MANIT Official website but it is ofcourse better than the previous one. The drop-down with the semi-transparent menu looks awesome.
The new Poll and the Latest News features are also great. But I am yet to get my login details; don’t know if anyone has got one. But the header may still be improved.
But from the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) point of view, the site may lose its position in Search Engine Rankings as all the inner pages have been replaced with new URLs and permalinks. The default inner pages are also linked now from http://manit.ac.in instead of linking it from http://www.manit.ac.in which may result in lowering of inner page rankings in Search Engines. All the previously indexed pages, except for the home page, are now showing 404 Error.
The site is Developed & Maintained by MANIT Web Club (I don’t know who are in the Club but the team is doing a great job). Anyway, cheers to our new MANIT Website

And thanks for the great comment..I was also doing some SEO stuff on keyword “manit” a few days back. I even came up till the first page in google for this keyword, but I had a very severe server problem recently and that affected much on my SERPs. Anyway, nice to hear from you Boss. And our College website also looks much better after the recent upgrade.
